Honorary Chairman of the association “21 Luglio” for children rights, Giovanni Fontana was a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies from 1972 to 1987, member of the Senate of the Italian Republic from 1987 to 1992 and Minister of Agriculture; he has held positions of primary importance and has been Secretary of State various times.
From 1971 to 1980 he was partner and co-founder of the law firm De Zuani, Tommasi, Fontana, in Verona.
In 1994, in the vest of the senior partner, he founded in Brussels an office for legal advice called “Conseillers juridiques” where he worked until 1998. Since 1999, he works for “Fontana Galli and associates”, the legal and tax firm of which he is one of the founding partners.
The firm has offices in Rome and Milan. From December 2002 to August 2003 he chaired the “Cirio Finanziaria SpA” and from 2005 to 2013 he was a Board Member of Gemina SpA.
